Under Graduate Programmes
A candidate who has successfully qualified in the following examinations.
- Any candidate who has successfully completed 10+2 of the Tamilnadu Higher Secondary Board Examinations/CBSE/or any other equivalent course
- Private Candidates under Open Schooling System.
- Higher Secondary or Equivalent Examinations conducted by all other State Boards.
- Indian School Certificate Examination (ISCE), New Delhi.
Post Graduate Programmes
- All Under Graduate degree examinations conducted by recognized Universities.
Research Programmes
- A candidate who has successfully completed PG degree in the relevant subject.
Eligibility Certificate from University Of Madras required for the following categories of Students
- Candidates, Who have passed the following examinations,must obtain an Eligibility Certificate from the University Of Madras
- Private Candidates under Open Schooling System.
- Higher Secondary or Equivalent Examination conducted by all State Boards other than Tamil Nadu State Board
- All drgree (UG/PG) examinations conducted by University Other than University of Madras
- Candidates who havew passed the course of study from Board / University that are not listed in the CBSE/UGC/ World list of University will not be approved for the admission in UG/PG courses of this University.
- Candidates who have passed under 10 +1 are Not Eligible for admission to Three Year Under Graduate Degree Course.
- Candidates who have passed the degree course under 10+1+3 or 10+2+2 or11+1+2 are Not Eligible for admission to Post Graduate Degree Course

It is a unit of Hindustan Group of Institutions, affiliated to the University of Madras and is accorded the Minority Status by National Commission for Minority Educational Institutions, Govt. of India.

University of Madras-affiliated colleges like HCAS follow the syllabi, schedule of exams, and conduct of exams based on its guidelines. The degree is finally awarded by the University of Madras, which is highly accredited globally. Deemed universities have independence in administration and operations. They decide on the courses, syllabi, question paper setting, assessment & evaluation on their own. They also award their own degrees.
The Management provides scholarships on the following grounds:
1. Students who score more than 75 % marks in the higher secondary examination will be given Merit Scholarship.
2. Students who scored between 70 – 74% will be given a concession on Tuition fees under HCAS Concession Scheme.
3. Sibling Scholarship will be given to the siblings of HCAS students
4. Alumni scholarships will be given to encourage the students to take up their post-graduation programmes in their respective fields of study.
5. First-graduate Scholarships will be provided to the students who are the first ones in the family to get admission to a graduate programme.
6. Scholarship will be provided to the sportsperson who has participated in state and National level games/sports under sports quota.
7. Scholarship will be provided to economically deserving students under the Madras University Free Education Scheme.
8. As a special concession for Girls students if they pay the whole hostel fee for the year, a 10% concession under Dr. KCG Verghese Charitable Foundation will be given.
9. HCAS also facilitates giving government scholarships to students who belong to reserved categories like SC, ST.
10. Founder Chairperson Scholarship available for Women students.
The Training and Placement Cell of Hindustan College of Arts & Science has been in the forefront in bringing about exciting job opportunities for all students. It acts as a nodal point of contact for companies to identify the future workforce from HCAS. The Placement Cell has been striving hard to get employment for students in reputed companies, during their final year of study; this has resulted in students turning into employeesstraight out of their college life and bringing smiles in their parents faces as their dreams come true.
Students make use of the many On-Campus and Off-Campus interview opportunities offered by various companies and the Placement Cell facilitates students to choose various internship opportunities to aid their curriculum and Industry-Ready attitude.
Online application is not mandatory. Students can block the course of their choice by applying online and by paying the Admission/Registration Fees and Tuition Fees for the course chosen.
